I love to have Charity Jobs and help out the old people in my local community. I drive a minibus and each Friday I pull up in the cul-de-sacs where old people live and take them to the shops to make sure that they have fresh food in their house. I can take up to fifteen people and they all love being able to travel further than they would without the minibus. I also take them all on day trips to the local locks and local museums to keep them entertained. We will spend all day going around historical buildings and artefacts then at the end we all go to tea shop and have a big cup of tea. On the way home I can’t get a word in edge ways. They are all talking so much about what an amazing day they have had out, this makes me very happy. I drop them off and they give me a big hug and chocolate bar if I’m lucky.

I Like My Job a Lot
Wednesday, September 21st, 2011My wife was right. She told me to get a manufacturing job because she kind of figured that I would like it a lot, and she was right! I do like the job. I guess I am just a manufacturing kind of person. Sometimes, when I was working an office job, I just felt like there were so many possibilities in my life. I know that some people are meant for office jobs, but I was really unhappy. I wanted to do something physical! I really didn’t know what was out there, so I didn’t seek out very many things. Well, I am happy to have a wife who has worldly knowledge about the different types of jobs. She assessed who I was and was able to tell me who I should become. If that is not the best thing a wife can do for a man, then I don’t know what is!
How to Get into Marketing
Tuesday, September 6th, 2011Many young graduate students today think about becoming a marketing consultant as a career choice. One can see why. Marketing consultants who are at the top of their game earn large salaries, get great bonuses and perks and are highly sought after in their respective industries. However, marketing is a science and it is not suited to everyone. Furthermore, you will not get to be a top marketing consultant without determination and effort and you must be willing to start at the bottom and work you way up gaining valuable experience and learning from your mistakes as well as your successes. Once you have found a position in a marketing team, try to find a mentor or someone who is willing to help you achieve the next stage of your career. Someone like this should be less of a friend and more of a teacher, willing to point out your failings clearly and advise on how you can achieve more.
Radiology Tech Career
Tuesday, August 30th, 2011My son wants to go to school to be a radiology tech now. I just wish he would pick something already! He now wants to go to radiology tech school because it is short and the radiology tech salary is pretty good. He only has to go to school for about a year part time in order to get his certifications than he can work in a hospital as a radiology tech. It isn’t a bad idea, especially for someone who didn’t go to college like we hoped he would. But at least now he has a plan. His plans up to this point have been in get rich quick schemes and ways to be lazy about making a little bit of money. I think I need to thank his new girlfriend for putting his head on straight. I just hope he doesn’t come home saying that she’s now pregnant!
Be Wary of Online Job Scams
Saturday, August 27th, 2011We used to search for jobs in the newspaper. These days, one of the most popular places to look for a job is on major websites like Craigslist. This can work, but you have to be very careful about Craigslist job scams. These fake ads will not help you, and they could even hurt you!
The crooks who place these fake job ads have no jobs to offer. They use this form of advertising to get you to perform an action that makes you money. In the best case, you will just waste your time. In the worst cases, you could even lose money or have your identity stolen.
How can you protect yourself against getting scammed when you are looking for a job on the internet? Look for these red flags.
- Does the job offer look too good to be true?
- Are the job details vague? Normal job postings are very specific.
- Do you have to send money in to apply for a job?
If you answer yes to any of these questions, you are right to be wary!
Some Career Planning
Thursday, August 25th, 2011Everyone should do some career planning every now and then. Unless you are a mum that wants to stay at home (also a valid career that needs some different planning), you will need to know where you would like to go with your job. Do you always want to be a barista or would you one day like to be the manager of the café (and still make coffee of course)? Do you always want to sell cheeseburgers or would you like to do a different kind of job one day? Even simple questions like that are career planning because once you have the idea that you would like to do something else, you have started the process of career planning. Once you have a goal, you can plan how to get there. Without a goal, you cannot plan anything. Your goal and your current situation might be light years away from each other but that does not mean that you will not be able to reach it.
Making Connections Withan Engineering Recruitment Agency
Wednesday, August 3rd, 2011Utilizing an engineering recruitment agency is a good first step to making sure you start your career in engineering off with the best foot forward. These agencies are specifically designed to find the appropriate employment for you and ensure that you make use of your skills in a practical way. While it is certainly possible to find employment yourself after finishing your education, a recruitment agency can do much of the groundwork for you and is another networking tool you can use while you are getting the rest of your life in order. Some agencies can even help with other necessities, like relocation options and salary negotiation. While most agencies charge a small fee for their services, some agencies organize with your educational institution or local industries to provide their help free of charge. With any service provider, make sure to shop around and get referrals for the agency best equipped to meet your needs.
Becoming Number One in Event Coordinator Jobs
Friday, July 29th, 2011Event coordinator jobs are all about attention to detail. Planning the perfect event starts with answering many questions about the event, who it is for and what it entails. Are you planning an event for a sports team returning from a big game? Maybe an upscale wedding or formal corporate event? No matter how casual or serious the event, there are the same number of details. Find out what type of people will be attending, how many, and for how long. Will you need several courses of food to serve these people or just appetizers to munch on? Who will be taking care of set up before hand and clean up afterwards? These are all good questions to lay out with the host before planning gets underway. Have a specific staff member dedicated to each task, and know who will take charge in case of emergency. If you prepare for the worst and plan for the best in each event, you will slowly but surely build up a solid reputation and a continuous stream of clients.

The Help I Needed to Pay for My Expenses
Wednesday, June 29th, 2011I was totally pysched up when I got the word I had been accepted into the graduate program for biology. Id be working with a professor who was really well known in the microbiology field and getting my graduate degree from one of the top programs in the country. There was only one small problem. I didnt have any way to pay for the little things in life. Like food. I needed to look at graduate jobs to find something that give me the money I needed to make it through school. After a bit of looking I narrowed it down to two choice, either I could work as a research assistant or I could be a teaching assistant at the University. It was a tough call but I could get a few more hours each week as a TA so decided to go with that. Its tough balancing graduate school with working but I like the challenge.
A Beautiful Wedding
Sunday, June 19th, 2011My daughter is lucky to have a best friend who happens to be an event manager. When she and her husband got married last March, her friend did all the event management and planning. My daughter and her long-time boyfriend were scheduled to board the cruise ship last April so they decided to get married before leaving. The couple was set on having just a civil wedding and a quiet reception because there was so little time, but her best friend insisted that she can arrange for a church or chapel wedding.
With so little time, her best friend did miracles and produced a simple yet elegant wedding. From the church to the reception and even the flowers and gowns, she was able to arrange all these in a hurry. No wonder her boss is all praises to her. She found a jewel in this girl.
The wedding was beautiful and truly memorable. Juliana made her best friend the happiest by giving her a wonderful wedding.

Tuesday, May 10th, 2011If you are about to interview candidates for position of a training manager, then you may need to prepare a list of interview questions that can be asked to the candidates. You can move on the work experience, reason for changing the job, achievements in the previous organization, learning styles, teaching methodology etc. You can look at the candidate’s CV and ask questions pertaining to their job profile in the previous organization. Since the position would involve handling teams, you may want to question the candidate on team building and handling team conflict situations. My First Job
Tuesday, April 26th, 2011I had my first part time job when I was seventeen. I worked at the local grocery store, stocking the produce area. I was so interested in the fruits and vegetables I was stocking that they eventually trained me to cut and prepare them as well. The people I worked with at the store became my life-long friends and we actually had a lot in common. I only worked about 20 hours per week in the summers and even less in the winter, but this was enough to allow me to save for a car and pay for part of my schooling expenses. I think the most valuable thing I learned was how to behave in a work environment. Not everyone behaved professionally in the store, but those who did were taken much more seriously. This is a lesson I carry with me to this day and am thankful to have learned early on.
Easy Way of Finding a Job in Walsall
Sunday, April 10th, 2011My sister is a registered nurse and is currently looking for a job. I have a cousin living in Walsall for five years now. She married Ben, a police officer in their town. When I visited my cousin Jenny, I mentioned to her that my sister is now a registered nurse and is still looking for a job. Jenny said that she will try to find a job in walsall. Their town hospital is looking for two registered nurses and said that if she gets the job then she can stay in their place. Shell be more than happy to have her with them at home since their only son got married six months ago and is no longer staying with them. Upon hearing this, my sister prepared her trip to Walsall since it will take six hours travel time from our place. She submitted her application letter and was given a qualifying examination along with three other applicants. After the examination she was advised to report to the office the next day for a panel interview. Immediately after that, the hospital director informed her that she got the position and can start working after a week.

Sunday, March 20th, 2011For a lot of people funding their education can be a real challenge, and one of the main problems why they don’t realise their desires to obtain their dream job. Universities and colleges are becoming increasingly expensive, and a lot of people simply cannot afford the high opportunity costs associated with enrolling in school and paying their tuition. Luckily today, there are a lot of universities and Non governmental organizations, that help support dedicated and ambitious students who have a desire to obtain a specialty degree or certification such as a CNA certification, lab technician or even hvac specialist.
